  1. 2 days ago  Although Pena is one of the few fresh matchups available at the top of the bantamweight division, the two-division champ did not seem particularly interested in the fight. 'So Holly is off, she can fight Germaine,' Nunes told reporters at the UFC 259 news conference. 'I feel like she has to get in the mix, but we'll see.
  2. Ultimate Fighting Championship. Chris Weidman were the previous marquee matchups. The vacant women's flyweight title fight at UFC 231 and inserted her to the UFC 230 headliner.
  3. For fans of the middleweights, UFC 230 will be a treat, with two other enticing matchups on the card: Rockhold faces Weidman in a rematch of UFC 224, won by Rockhold, while David Branch will take.

Poirier (27-6 MMA, 19-5 UFC) and Diaz were booked to meet at UFC 230 in 2018, but the fight was scrapped after Poirier was injured. 'The Diamond' went on to face Max Holloway instead.

Hopefully edging closer to a UFC return, Nate Diaz has two potential opponents in mind.

Diaz (20-12 MMA, 15-10 UFC), who hasn't competed since a third-round doctor's stoppage loss to Jorge Masvidal in November 2019, has made it clear that he wants matchups against either Dustin Poirier or Charles Oliveira – but at welterweight, not lightweight where both men are top contenders.

Poirier (27-6 MMA, 19-5 UFC) and Diaz were booked to meet at UFC 230 in 2018, but the fight was scrapped after Poirier was injured. 'The Diamond' went on to face Max Holloway instead and captured the interim lightweight title in April 2019.

Although he wasn't able to defeat undisputed champ Khabib Nurmagomedov five months later, Poirier now is riding a wave of momentum having outlasted Dan Hooker in a 2020 'Fight of the Year' contender last July and defeating Conor McGregor by second-round TKO last month at UFC 257.

Poirier even mentioned Diaz as a potential next opponent after beating McGregor, which caught the attention of Diaz, who thinks it's the perfect time to have their fight rebooked.

'Now is the time for sure to fight,' Diaz said in an interview with ESPN released Tuesday. 'We should have fought a long time ago, and now the stars have aligned. … I'm waiting for a fight where people are ready for the big fight, and now is the time.'

Diaz continued, 'I'm not gonna play (expletive) nice guy like how Conor McGregor just did with him. Conor just walked him right in for the taking. I think that a fight with me would be more real, a more serious situation for him. I don't think he could sleep with that.'

Tony Ferguson slams ‘casual' Nate Diaz: ‘You don't want no squabbles from a real fighter'

Justin Gaethje: Nate Diaz fight could be ‘the right business thing' to do

The other name Diaz is interested in fighting is the streaking Oliveira (30-8 MMA, 18-8 UFC), who dominated Tony Ferguson last December at UFC 256 for his eighth win in a row.

'That's the guy right there,' Diaz said of Oliveira. 'I'll fight that guy. That's who I'll fight. I like the winners because I'm the winner. I ain't lost to nobody. I'm trying to fight the guys who are winning. …

'I think Oliveira is the best fight right now and Dustin Poirier.'

While the interest in fighting either man certainly seems genuine, a potential hang-up could be the weight class. Despite UFC president Dana White saying that Diaz would return at lightweight, the Stockton, Calif., native made it clear he has no interest fighting in that 'dead division.'

Diaz, who hasn't fought at 155 pounds since a December 2015 win over Michael Johnson, insists that his next fight will be at welterweight.

Even though he's targeting matchups with two top-ranked lightweights.

'No, I'm not fighting at 155,' said Diaz, adding that he hoped to fight two to four times this year. 'I'll fight probably at 170, 165, anything to 185. Not 155. That's a dead division. I don't have anything that I'm hunting in that division, nothing I'm aiming for. I feel like I own it already, so I'll probably fight at 170 pounds.'

The UFC returns Saturday at the Apex Facility in Las Vegas with three title bouts. As if that wasn't sweet enough for MMA fans, DraftKings has added a tantalizing new promotion. New users who bet $1 on any UFC 259 title fight can get a 100-1 return if either fighter lands a single punch.

And so an event that is already filled with intriguing matchups gains even more mojo thanks to DraftKings.

Blachowicz's comeback story continues in the main event

Saturday's main event contains a remarkable comeback story. Light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz started his career 2-4. But since then, the Polish fighter has trended upward, winning eight of his last nine fights and four in a row (three by stoppage).

On Saturday, the 38-year-old will take on middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

Adesanya's story is almost the exact opposite. He is undefeated in UFC action and has stormed through the middleweight division, racking up wins over Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa.

On Saturday, Adesanya is -230 on the moneyline at DraftKings, while Blachowicz is +185. The over/under for the fight is set at 2.5 rounds.

And as previously mentioned, the DraftKings promotion will pay out 100-1 odds for new users if either fighter lands a single punch. That promotion is good for the other title fights on the card as well (Amanda Nunes vs Megan Anderson and Petr Yan vs Aljamain Sterling).

Nunes a huge favorite in Saturday's second title fight

Often nicknamed the 'Baddest Woman on the Planet,' UFC featherweight champion Amanda Nunes is an epic favorite in her title defense against Megan Anderson. Nunes is -1250 at DraftKings, while Anderson enters at +750. Oddsmakers also envision this being a quick fight, with an over/under set at 1.5 rounds.

Nunes has won 11 straight fights, with a perfect 7-0 record in championship bouts. Anderson enters the octagon after winning her last two fights in the first round.

Yan vs. Sterling title bout features fighters with opposite styles

The other title match Saturday features a pair of bantamweight brawlers who were originally supposed to meet in December. Petr Yan is undefeated in UFC action (7-0), while Aljamain Sterling is 19-3. This fight could prove to be a contrast in styles.

Yan is often content to trade punches, whereas Sterling's strength lies in his grappling. His resume includes a first-round submission of Cory Sandhagen last June.

Counting cards is related to blackjack, not poker. Counting cards is impossible in poker because each hand uses a freshly shuffled single deck. Card counting at poker must therefore mean the same as 'how to count outs,' or in other words, 'how to count cards that you can win with.' Counting outs in poker consists of calculating all the unseen hands, the hands with winning potential and then comparing those groups between each other. So how does counting cards at poker work? Say you're on the turn with a flush draw and you wonder how likely it is.
